Hey everyone,
I have just registered with Second Life, the online simulation game. I have downloaded the package and attempted to run it numerous times, except it keeps crashing before i actually log in.
I have checked on the website, and it says to uninstall it and then reinstall it and clear the cache. I have done all of this but it still wont work. I have also checked the system requirements and i have an S3 graphics card which means it might not work.
would i have to install a new graphics card for this to work? or does anyone know if you can access the island through the net (i.e like a beta version) ?????? i dont really want to install a new graphics card.Second Life - the online game - it keeps crashing?
Do you have sufficient memory? I found it to be a huge memory and resource hog; my vid card was okay according to their guidelines, but dang it ran slow! Also, I have to say I found the whole experience in their kind of boring, so if it doesn't work for you I'd say you aren't missing much.Second Life - the online game - it keeps crashing?
since you are a user and registered
you may support a support ticket to linden labs over this matter on SL's website and they will most likely send you a solution email to help solve some issues you might have with the game. chances are your in the clear but you may not have a supreme system to run it all.
i hope you get on the game....it is a blast and there are alot of freebies for newbs and lotsa music to listen to and things to do.
good luck
