Is Modern Warfare 2 like real war?

Last night i was playing this game online. Then something happened to me in the first time of all my gaming life. I just stopped shooting and started to think to my self "why am i doing this?" I mean real soldiers have fought in real wars and here i was munching away with my crisps and killing people for fun. Ive decided im gonna re buy Little Big Planet, and sell this game as soon as possible. I know its jus a game but it felt so real.Is Modern Warfare 2 like real war?
Dude, it's NOTHING compared to real war, real war is like a horrible nightmare come true. Although it is the most realistic war game out there so far, considering it's incredible graphics! But you shouldn't feel bad about playing it, hell I bet real life soldiers play it too.
That's a good thing isn't it? The producers want you to feel as close to war as possible. That may mean SO close in fact that you even feel emotional the same way our soldiers do. It's almost sad thinking that as our little computerized characters are getting killed, in the outside world there are REAL men with REAL enemies staring death in the face everyday. And unlike the game, they can't respawn.



You have no problem if you find it too real, I enjoy the game but I can see where you are coming from, it feels so real.

MW2 is nothing like real war, sorry. And don't flatter yourself and distantly compare yourself to our real soldiers. You are not killing people for fun. You are playing a game. You are sitting down on your butt staring at a screen and pressing buttons on your ps3 controller. It's FAR from real soldiering, trust me.



You obviously are growing up sheletered and it is probably better if you not play MW2.

well i wouldn't call it actualy like real life, ive seen on youtube when a guy took out somone behind a building acouple of hundred yards away by throwing a knife, in reality if he had even been able to take that shot it would of bounced off his armor.Is Modern Warfare 2 like real war?

No Modern Warfare 2 is nothing like real war. The BBC published an article showing just how war games including Modern Warfare have no concept of humanitarian laws.
The point of games these days is to be as realistic as possible, If a war game wasnt realistic then it wouldnt be much fun.I have thouhgt the same as you on many occasions but realised that it is only a game. But of course LBP is awsome
Of course Modern Warfare 2 is nothing like real war, a video game that closely feels like war is OperatioFlashpoint:Dragon Rising, that game actually can make you feel threatened by the war environment.
