Is there a real life game like the sims on the internet to play?

I recently heard that there is a special game that is so addictive and fun, that it's just like the sims except you can play it for free online! You can make your real life characters have personalities, jobs etc just like a real person! Anyone know the name of it?Is there a real life game like the sims on the internet to play?
You might be thinking of Second Life.



Thats basically the "upgrade" for people addicted to games like SIMs. You can do ANYTHING. You can create your own avatar to look like anyone or anything. It can look like you, or a famous person, or a mix of you if you were part dragon. And you get a piece of land on the world that you can make look like anything. Any game you have ever seen, the ocean, a park, a mansion, etc.



But because you can do anything it also has a fairly high learning curve. Its kindof hard to get the hang of completely.
