Twisted system is this game for Xbox on Fuzion Frenzy. And, in the game, you have to jump or duck to avoid getting hit by a bar or a bump. Thats all there is to it. Why wont my Computer play Sims 3 or sims Medieval?
Bought a new computer and can`t play the sims 3, sims medieval or the online game second life without getting the following message ' the nvidia open gl driver lost connection with the driver and is unable to continue' I have updated the drivers, run DVDs on it no problem and run the 3D Mark tests no issues, The problems seem to have got worse now with sins 3 crashing and freezing me out completely. Please help, every sight i have checked it says my graphic card should play sims with no problems, could something else be faulty? Details below.

I mean people abused the game and people that are online has no life and they play video games all day and 24/7 a day and people who hacked the game and it ruins the game experiences for everybody else and people don't play the game online for fun any more and they only care for themselves and they think they are so good and hardcore because they play call of duty and they think call of duty is the only good game that came out this whole generation and they don't pay attention to other games that are twice as good and twice as fun than call of duty and they don't give other games any chance that they deserve more than call of duty. Ok, so my friend and I are trying to join into a team deathmatch online game, but all it does is sit on the search screen (not displaying any map choices or anything), and after about 5 minutes, it boots us back to the first screen when you select "Xbox Live." I'm a fan of fighting games and I like collecting the old ones but every time I play online in the new ones, I lose. I would get messages from others saying that I suck or I'm a ******* loser. If I go down most of the time, at least I'm good at other things in life that will keep me happy.Anyone feel bad when losing an online match in a fighting game?

It bugs the hell out of my friends and so they learned how to use characters perfectly, with that they were able to beat me consistently, then we got tired of the game and played something else. It's not like your life will ever come to a point where someone will say "OK, we'll give you this high paying corportate position if you can beat Zangief on the hardest difficulty setting using Chun Li. You get a $3,000 bonus if you can pull off a Perfect Victory." I've been addicted to an online game for over 7 years. I recently quit. How do I cope with the real world?
I've recently quit this online game we'll call "blahblahblah". I'm protecting the name of the actual game because the last thing I'd want to happen is someone who had no prior knowledge of the game curiously check it out and possibly become addicted like me.
People say games like WoW is addicting. This game was worse for me. I started playing this game when I was around 13 years old. I'm now 20 years old, almost 21. This isn't even an MMORPG. I've played those. They came and went. I outgrew them. This is a virtual chat site. You have an avatar, you have rooms, pets, friends etc.
Long story short, I feel as if it's taken over my life completely. Even though I don't play it all day everyday. I always rely on this game as my crutch when I'm bored. Since it's free, easily accessible, and the annonimity behind the game makes it that much more addicting to play on, communicate with, debate with other people on the site.
I've recently quit blahblahblah, but I'll admit, I'm afraid to face the real world now, without the game. I've made the personal decision to fully stop using blahblahblah in hopes of betting my life. Ever since I've played blahblahblah, my relationships with friends have broken off. I only have about two real friends now. I've become so much more anti-social. I think too much for my own good. I think me thinking too much is a result of me spending so much time alone... blahblahblah has also brought me further apart from my brothers, my mother, and my father. Although I love my family more than anything in the world, and I still talk to them. I feel like my relationship with them could be a lot stronger....

Good for you :D It's hard leaving 7 years of your life behind, But it's for the best of course.
I suggest totally quitting computers (If possible) for a certain amount of time. Get out more, don't have to necessarily go partying every night, but just go do something fun, with or without friends.

Its not about how many friends you have, it is about if the the ones you have are real or not.
Ways to make friends: Go to college, shows/concerts, coffee shops, churches, get a job, be verbose, be friendly, talk to strangers, compliment people.
Also, try to reconnect with your family and old friends!

If this game was like a WoW addiction, then it must have taken up a lot of your day. So I'd say the best way to approach life now is to think about how you can fill your day more effectively. Sort of like how nicotine gum is supposed to keep a smoker's mouth active to replace the action of smoking, you can fill the place that the game used to have in your life with something better.
Getting a job is probably the best place to start. That way you'll be earning money, and you'll also instantly meet some new people (your co-workers.) Alternatively, you could pursue education. Online half-life multiplayer for the pc?

We met online two years ago- Through mutual friends. We started talking in world on the online game second life, predominately. We were just the best of friends for a long time- the one person we could trust in the game, you know. Just two peas in a pod. We never wanted to take it to the next level, because A) We were such good friends.. And B) He's in Texas %26amp; I'm in Georgia.
But we did take the next step %26amp; are "together" in the game (if you know how SL works, you'll get this). We talk on the phone probably 12 hours per day, and are always together "in world" on Second Life. We still have yet to meet, but we've been talking about it, very sincerely. Is this silly? Should we give it a shot? I really feel like I'm falling for this guy, and I know that online we can be who and what we want to be, but I feel he's pretty honest with me. Online Life Stages/Decisions Replicator?
A few months ago, I somehow stumbled upon a website where you click on different tiles on the screen in order to go through the different stages of life. The different stages were things like infancy, childhood, teen years, etc. It also had a separate function where, during your game, you could do random chance events like go on dates, do class assignments, get married and have children, and the like. As you complete each task of the current life stage, it progresses you the next.

When can I have someone charged with harrassment?
A friend of mine that I play an online game with and lives 1/2 a country away had recently asked his wife for a divorce. She assumes we are having an affair even though he and I have never met. She has sent me nasty text messages at 3am and left me a nasty voice mail. Can I press charges in the state of PA?When can I have someone charged with harrassment?
Most State's don't have criminal statutes dealing strictly with harassment.
There is probably a law for some type of telecommunications harassment since they are using text messages. If they threaten you then another charge would apply.
Here's the problem though, those charges are misdemeanors. If the person doing it is "1/2 a country away" then it will be very difficult for law enforcement to level charges against them.

Something like 3-5 years ago I knew about this game and I used to play it a lot, but now I cannot remember its name for the life of me. It was an online game and it was a browser game, so everything happened on the actual website. It wasn't a flash game but mostly just words. It was similar to The Mobster Game in design, but it wasn't a mafia game. It was sort of a fantasy army kind of game. There were elves, mercenaries, warriors--all that good stuff. They look like the messages but they will show you how many sessions the person has had and the pointless grade system. You click on it and can summon them. If you are in soul form you can place your Blue eye stone down and then someone can summon you and you can help them with whatever level it is. You can only summon in an area where the boss has not yet been beaten though for help in your world. However if you have beaten a boss and would like to offer help to players who may still be need help you can still place your Blue eye stone. Since you first started playing the Wikidot will be extremely helpful trust me I still use it it's great info on it. And oh yeah be careful playing in body form as people can invaded and fight/kill you. You can't be invaded in soul form or offline mode but that's no fun and boring to play like that imo lol.

I've found those sucky ones like the flash ones, the mugen, byond, the arena, but im looking for a really good one. Don't play Perfect World International it sucks hard. It's basically the same gameplay as Perfect World MY-EN(Malaysian English(yes i'm American)) except WAY behind on Patches. PW MY-EN has more armor, mounts, aviation, fashion, weapons, larger community, and just more everything. Perfect World International was actually made because Perfect World MY-EN was getting too big and popular lolz.

ok i have come to admit i need some serious help. i am so addicted to this pointless game. i know its pointless and i know its not getting me anywhere but i just cant stop playing. i play it almost 15 hours a day. i log on from when i wake up and play til i pass out. i eat all my meals at my computer. no matter where i am i can not stop thinking about the game. if im not playing it, im thinking about it, and i feel depressed in life if im not online. this is getting extremely unhealthy for me, but i just cant stop. if i try to read a book world of warcraft comes to my mind and i cant read anymore. how do i stop PLEASE i need help.I am 100% addicted to the online game "World of Warcraft"?

Just FYI you don't have to get addicted to the game. I'm not saying you got addicted on purpose at ALL. If you want to keep playing you still can, just set limits for yourself. If you don't think you can you can go to the parental controls on the website and set a time limit for yourself. Try and get your friends to do stuff with you outside the game if they also play!!
If you want to quit or something you should just take it off your computer :)
You just have to remember that you did stuff other than WoW before you got it. You just have to remember what those things are! It's easy to forget about other things you like when you do the same thing for a long period of time.
So just try and get out with friends and then maybe you'll start remembering what you liked to do BEFORE WoW and you'll actually want to do them!

I know it is tough...I am pretty addicted to "Civilization"...anyway something that is kind of working for me a little bit is to not turn the computer on at first in the day...do your most important stuff early in the day (the stuff that HAS to be done)...then ...if the computer "happens" to get turned on...and you start playing then at least you got a couple things done in the day...
OK from that point try to do more and more productive things and wait longer to turn on the computer (even try to hold out until evening)...and also try to go to bed on time too!!

I was in the same boat as you at one point, and only quit WoW 3 months ago, it unfortunately took me 2 1/2 years to finally burn myself out on WoW, which was tough because I couldn't get bored on content or playstyle because I constantly changed specs, playstyle was constantly evolving and I ended up playing 4 classes, hunter(70 in BC), paladin(70 in BC, 71 in WotLK), warlock(70 in BC) and death knight(80 in WotLK), and played several other characters short term(level 1-40 rogues, some twinks, I think I had one in his 30's or at level 40, got a druid up to level 58, etc). I eventually wore myself out on a lasting mechanic in the game - daily quests, achievements, and gold grinding, which are such fundamental parts of the game. I actually quit just as me and my guild started working on yogg-saron(toughest boss in the game at the time besides algalon the observer).
It's very hard to break an addiction on your own, I highly reccomend you ask for help or you might be in for the long haul like I was. D:
It may be hard to admit, but this level of addiction is a serious problem, and you should seek help with a therapist that can help you figure out what to do. Not a prescription writing one, at least at first (if you need meds because of some mental condition, a talking-only therapist will point you in that direction). Also, not all therapists will be for you, ask anyone you know that has been to one to suggest one that will understand the problem and not just do something like tell you to go to church and pray about it. I'm not religious, but if you are, this could be something that helps, but most likely not on its own. I was addicted to the internet when I was young, just online chat communities when I was in highschool in the 90's. No one ever recognized that I should see someone (including myself) and it took painful years of letting other things slip by me until I grew out of it (and into other problems). I see a therapist now and it helps a lot with all sorts of things, because he is a cool and understanding guy. No one has to know, it is confidential, and with the right person can work wonders and get to the bottom of what is causing the problem. Get some help before you realize you've spent 10 years playing and it only felt like 6 months. You'll miss out on too much.

Right now I am a 16 year old girl in the 10th grade, great group of friends, and making all A's in school.
I'm really not sure how everything happened. But I was a 14 year old girl and started talking to people I knew on a popular online game called Second Life. When I say knew, I mean as in they knew my online name, my online age, and my online life. But one day I decided I was close enough to one lady and told her my age. I understood the possibilities of old men and creepers and stuff, but I took the chance.
I got lucky too, this girl, we'll call her A, actually being 24 and having a regular, not creeper life, a few states away from me. We spent a whole summer attached at the hip from miles away, and living our lives beside each other. It was a GREAT summer. She ended up being the best friend I ever had, because she was an adult, yet she understood me. We talked on the phone, texted, skyped, yahoo IMed, and hung out on Second Life. I knew her real life family as well. However, all this was done behind my parents' back. That was my life for about half a year.
About 2 weeks before my 15th birthday, my mom came home from work and told me to give her my phone and get off the computer. I was caught, grounded from everything, and was left with nothing to do but cry, draw, and watch TV until school started. Then it was cry, draw, watch TV, and school. My mom told me that I only liked this girl because of the way she could talk to me like people my age couldn't. But I disagreed. Even through all this, I succeeded at getting contact of this girl and talking to her on my friends' phones, their computers, and my mom's work phone. But it was only occasional.
It slowly began to be more and more often, until I slowly earned everything back that i had been grounded from. Then it was constant again. But this time, I didn't text her or do anything with my phone besides Skype. Also, this time, I had talked to two other friends of hers, one being her best friend, and one who was looked at like her daughter (Even though she was 18) and was bound to go back to Saudi Arabia within 2 or 3 years to get married. This girl, we'll call her L, was like my sister and we became as close as siblings. Life was great, and I enjoyed being with these people online, and they loved me, and I loved them.
But I was bound to be caught, and it happened. My parents talked to me one day after school, no yelling, more... worrying. And after we talked, my father made me call A on my phone and he talked her. She said "Yes sir" and was very polite, but when he was done she added, "I'm not a bad person, I just love your daughter very much," and then my dad gave the phone to me, I was to say bye. I couldn't keep in the tears and I was bawling.
"I'm so sorry. Good bye." And those were the last words I have said to her to this day.
Within 3 days, I was back on the internet, on my phone, and laughing in school, because my parents didn't take anything away, they trusted me. And I didn't do anything. I got on skype about a week later and talked to L about everything.(Because they never said anything about her) I told her I couldn't talk to her for a while, but I would get on skype as soon as I can once I turn 18 to talk to her before she leaves for her country.
I really have no clue what I'm feeling these days. I miss A... so much. I would do anything to talk to her, but even if I tried, she would probably be upset because it's dangerous for both of us, because cops could get involved. I'm scared though. My parents said they never wanted me to talk to her again.
What happens when I turn 18? Can I talk to her again without my parents being angry? Should I wait until I'm older? Its a weird situation. I know. But its what happened.
Anyone that can relate to or understand this, please let me know...Has anyone ever been in this type of situation before?

The issue here is much bigger than you being a minor, controlled by your parents, and waiting to turn 18 so that you can make your own choices,
What has happened here is that you feel in love with a Saudi Arabian girl who is betrothed to be married. In her culture, this is as serious as being married. What she did with you would be considered very wrong in her culture. It would be considered being unfaithful to her betrothed, and she would die for it. I am not exaggerrating!. In a Muslim's eye's what she did was tantamount to adultery, and brought shame to her family or origin as well as the family she is already as good as married in to.
By their culture, they will be required to kill her if they find out about this. They kill her without a trial, without evidence, even only on suspicion is good enough. They kill her not gently, but by whatever means available: by gunshot, by running over with a car, or even with a hatchet. When she is dead, when the police come to investigate (IF they do), they will not even file a case if they find out that it was an "honor killing."
If you truly love this girl, you must leave her alone. Else, you seriously might get her killed. I would try to forget this girl if you can. And she should try to forget you, because she is stuck in her culture and cannot escape. Women there have no rights and cannot even leave the country without the permission of their male guardian, and that's not gonna happen.And if you were to go there and try to find her, you could get her killed, and she is not allowed to marry a non-Muslim anyway.
If she wants to have a relationship with someone other than an arranged marriage back in Saudi Arabia, she is going to have to leave that country and never go back. Then, and only then, can you realistically have a serious long-term relationship with her.
Maybe if she is brave enough to do this AND you are 18, then the two of you can have a future together. Otherwise, kiss it goodbye.Has anyone ever been in this type of situation before?
I can relate to you. The same thing has happened to me once. And I asked myself the same questions. I am waiting until I am older. And, what I am going to do, is talk to my parents about my decision. Maybe you should do the same.
Well if you know for sure A is a women then I don't think it be very bad to talk to her online every now and then but just don't meet up with her and try not to talk on the phone with her too much because thats how you will get caught. When your 18 its up to you what you want to do. Maybe if you try to talk to your parents when your 18 and tell them that you just want to be friends with her they will be okay with it and trust you. I think you could still talk to her every now and then now. Like write an email once a week to catch up but not more then that. I was in a similar situation. Once you turn 18 your parents can't keep u frOm seeing them. You should talk to ur parents and tell them how u feel about them. Tell ur parents you've got really close to them and even tho you respect that they care so much and are worried about u, but u no these people are good. If they still don't want u to see her, wait till your 18, because at 18 u are an adult and can decide what u wan to do.

I'm really not sure how everything happened. But I was a 14 year old girl and started talking to people I knew on a popular online game called Second Life.
