Can i sue someone for stealing my online account?

If someone steals my online game account, that i spend roughly 50$ a week on, can i sue her?

i know who is doing it, and shes trying to hack my email and get into my password on the game.

i have spent over 1000$ on the game, and 3 years of my life playing. if she steals it successfully can i sue her for doing so?Can i sue someone for stealing my online account?
cant u just change your password? and change your email password.
No. At most you can get her banned from the game, and the moderators will give you back your account, but the amount of work and money you would have to put into suing her would be way more than you would recuperate. You could try, but you just sound like whiny *****. Stop thinking that suing people is the right answer, it's not. Learn to actually settle your problems, not run for help. Can i sue someone for stealing my online account?
If you have proof, yes, but you'd be better off making a new email with a secure password and transfering the account to that. 10 minutes work and she has no fresh leads, and she can never get into it again.

Jared.
In America, you can sue anyone for pretty much anything. But word to the wise...that would get you a lot of headache and trouble getting a lawyer, setting a court date, etc etc. Just change your passwords and stuff and report it.Can i sue someone for stealing my online account?
You can contact the company now and have her shut down first. Then, yes, monetary proof, such as tranfers, monthly bills, etc, must be brought to court, howver you can sue. And you can press criminal charges as well!
Instead of waiting for it to happen, why don't you report her, that is if you have sufficient evidence and grounds to do so,
yes probably u can if you spent money on it
