Game that Simulates Real Life?

Ok a game it can be offline or online and i was wondering of a game that simulates real life, like how the sims plays but more realalistic (meaning not having all the random magical stuff that happened in the sims lol) but makes more of a simulation. Dose anyone know of a good game like this, if you know of one or more, please tell me if its free (if it is please give a website link ^^) or if i haft to pay for it or if i can go out and buy it.

this is probably not exactly what you are looking for (as it's ancient), but your question made me remember "Alter Ego" which was a life simulation game about 22 years ago. You might find it amusing, if you don't mind it being text based. I think there are free versions of it, check out the relevant links at the bottom of the Wikipedia entry.
